About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at Cornwall Council. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to disabled children and young people in our residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to ensure the best outcomes for disabled children and young people.
  • Encourage children to have fun, learn, grow, and develop in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a skilled and effective team providing care and support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Requirements
  • Enthusiasm for making a positive impact on the lives of disabled children.
  • Child-centered approach with the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive environment.
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care, which will be funded by the Council.
