Lead Hydraulic Engineer Opportunity at AECOM

AECOM is a world-leading infrastructure consulting firm, and we're seeking a skilled hydraulic engineer to lead our Specialist Hydraulics team in England & Wales. As a key member of our Water Engineering business, you'll contribute to our exciting portfolio of multimillion-pound UK Water Industry projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of professionals in conducting hydraulic analysis and designing water/wastewater treatment plants and pipelines for diverse clients.
  • Collaborate with design discipline engineers on projects, driving critical decisions and preparing design reports detailing calculations/analysis and key findings.
  • Estimate and budget man-hours for design tasks and validate deliverables, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications, in accordance with our Quality Assurance system.
  • Develop and expand our Specialist Hydraulics team, leveraging collective expertise to deliver innovative solutions on diverse projects.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in hydraulic design within the UK Water Industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic design principles and experience collaborating with other disciplines, such as Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical.
  • Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics and clean and wastewater network modeling.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
