Fire & Gas Technician

Bilfinger is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting various industries such as chemical processing, nuclear power, oil and gas production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power generation, utilities, renewable energy, and food processing.

As a Fire & Gas Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize installation layout drawings and other relevant documents to identify equipment locations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Execute planned maintenance tasks and record work history accurately, adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on fire and gas systems, circuits, and field devices, and carry out function testing of fire and gas detectors according to specifications.
  • Adjust and calibrate detectors when necessary, and demonstrate expertise in fire and gas detection systems and equipment principles.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards, and maintain ATEX rated equipment in hazardous areas as per EN standards.
  • Understand and follow preparation and reinstatement requirements for work areas, and document all maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and inspections accurately.
  • Have a strong understanding of fire and gas detection systems and equipment principles, and possess previous knowledge of ISSOW permit-to-work systems and experience with Maximo.
  • Be a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player with offshore certifications and relevant training.
