Job Title: Fire and Gas Technician

Bilfinger UK is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across various industries. We are seeking a skilled Fire and Gas Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of fire and gas detection systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire and gas equipment.
  • Conduct function testing of fire and gas detectors and report defects to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Carry out adjustments and calibration of detectors as required.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fire and gas detection systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with statutory regulations and company procedures.
  • Adopt safe-working practices at all times and follow the company's operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of practical and theoretical principles of fire and gas detection systems and equipment.
  • Previous experience in fire and gas detection and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ISSOW Permit to Work system.
  • Ability to perform assurance dry and wet deluge testing activities.
  • Properly document and accurately report all maintenance, configurations, repairs, overhauls, adjustments, and inspections.
