We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Lead Power Electronics Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of control systems, model-based design, and significant expertise in power electronics, particularly in the areas of DC-DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control System Development: Design and implement advanced control algorithms for power electronic systems, focusing on DC-DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
  • Model-Based Design: Employ model-based design methodologies to simulate, analyze, and enhance the performance of power electronic systems.
  • System Modeling: Develop and validate comprehensive models of power electronic components and systems utilizing software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or similar.
  • Performance Enhancement: Conduct thorough performance evaluations and optimizations of power converters to ensure maximum efficiency, stability, and reliability.
  • Embedded Systems Integration: Create and implement control algorithms on embedded systems and microcontrollers, ensuring seamless integration and real-time performance.
  • Testing and Validation: Formulate and execute testing protocols for control systems and power electronics, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time simulations.
  • Documentation: Generate detailed technical documentation, encompassing design specifications, testing reports, and user manuals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system integrators, to ensure cohesive integration of control systems into the overall product architecture.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control theory, power electronics, embedded systems, and model-based design practices to foster innovation in our offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in control system design and model-based development for power electronic systems, specifically DC-DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Expertise in control algorithm development and implementation, strong knowledge of power electronics and electrical circuits, experience with model-based design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or equivalent, and familiarity with embedded systems and real-time control.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
