About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in control systems, model-based design, and extensive experience with power electronics, specifically DC-DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement control algorithms for power electronic systems including DC-DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
  • Utilize model-based design techniques to simulate, analyze, and optimize the performance of power electronic systems.
  • Create and validate detailed models of power electronic components and systems using software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or equivalent.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization of power converters to ensure high efficiency, stability, and reliability.
  • Design and implement control algorithms on embedded systems and microcontrollers. Ensure seamless integration and real-time performance of control systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans for control systems and power electronics, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time simulation.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system integrators, to ensure seamless integration of control systems into the overall product.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in control theory, power electronics, embedded systems, and model-based design methodologies to drive innovation in our products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in control system design and model-based development for power electronic systems, specifically DC-DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
  • Proficiency in control algorithm development and implementation.Strong knowledge of power electronics and electrical circuits.Experience with model-based design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or equivalent.Great knowledge in embedded systems and microcontrollers.Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time control.Experience with HIL testing and real-time simulation.Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Attention to detail and a commitment to qualityAble to work in a team environment.Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative.
