Job Title: Director Technology Innovation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Technology Innovation to lead our Emerging Technology team within the Strategy and Architecture function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative emerging technology research that impacts external policy and internal strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Emerging Technology team to develop and implement emerging technology research that informs regulatory and strategic thinking.
  • Design and develop the FCA's emerging technologies work programme, driving strategic initiatives that address business needs and opportunities.
  • Ensure that emerging technology initiatives are integrated with wider FCA policy objectives and internal strategic opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with technology analysis using foresight/horizon scanning techniques to deliver research on emerging or novel technology.
  • Experience of planning, prioritising and leading the delivery of work through others to time and quality standards, including managing or leading on more complex projects or assignments.
  • Proven ability to distil complex information and engage with details while considering the bigger picture and communicate research and analysis findings clearly and succinctly to target audiences.
  • Strong interest in technology, the individual will engage regularly with technical concepts and technology-focused stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of FCA tools and powers, the individual will need to consider how we might be able to use our tools and powers to support the policy development.
