Senior Medical Leader in Palliative Care

An exceptional opportunity is available for a Senior Medical Leader in Palliative Care to become a vital part of our team at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. We are in search of a qualified professional to deliver expert guidance to the medical staff, ensuring that performance aligns with GMC standards while supporting the attainment of our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the medical treatment of inpatients
  • Engage in interdisciplinary meetings
  • Offer medical insights to the Living Well Centre
  • Facilitate communication with hospital and community colleagues
  • Participate in audit and quality enhancement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration with an active license to practice
  • A minimum of 6 years of postgraduate experience, including 4 years in palliative care
  • Proven experience in interdisciplinary teamwork and clinical governance
  • Background in audit and quality enhancement initiatives

This position is part-time, requiring commitment over 3 days with on-call responsibilities. Join us in delivering compassionate care to those in need and influencing the future of hospice services.
