Exciting Data Engineer Opportunity

Freshminds Interim is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their transformation function. This is a challenging role that offers the opportunity to manage the delivery of projects worth tens of millions of pounds and support one of retail's largest upcoming transformation programmes in the UK.

The successful candidate will work closely with the data product owner, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate existing data processes from SQL to Pyspark. They will be responsible for developing data products which sit at the heart of the commercial and data strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate existing data processes from SQL to Pyspark
  • Develop data products which sit at the heart of the commercial and data strategies
  • Work closely with data product owner, data scientists, and business stakeholders
  • Manage the delivery of projects worth tens of millions of pounds

Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant STEM discipline
  • 5+ years' work experience as a Data Engineer working with big data
  • Excellent Python, PySpark, Databricks, and SQL skills
  • Experience building data products in the cloud on Azure, with Pyspark and Databricks
  • Experience with productionising data products with CI/CD pipelines is desirable
