About the Role

Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our Cloud Data Platforms team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, implementing ETL/ELT processes, and adopting DevOps practices to streamline our data engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data for analytics and reporting.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes to move data from source systems to Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lake Houses using Open Source and AWS tools.
  • Adopt DevOps methodologies and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation.
  • Design innovative data solutions to address complex business requirements and drive decision-making.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with AWS Tools, including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Cloudwatch, Amazon SNS, and AWS Step Functions.
  • Strong experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.
  • Expertise in Data Storage Technologies, including Data Warehouse, Database technologies, and Big Data Eco-system technologies such as AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, and Hadoop.
  • Experience with AWS Data Lakes, including working with AWS S3 to store and process both structured and unstructured data sets.
Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. This involves residing continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
