About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer to join our expanding data team at Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our company's AWS platform, working closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, and implementing best coding practices using CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement streaming pipelines using Kafka to process real-time data.
  • Maintain and build out the AWS platform to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Implement best coding practices using CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality code.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Python to extract insights from large datasets.
Requirements
  • Commercial experience of implementing best coding practices using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of working within AWS, including experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong understanding of real-time data streaming using Kafka, including experience with Kafka clusters and data processing.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Python or Java.
