About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at JD Gyms. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensuring that our members receive an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: To lead and manage the day-to-day running of the gym, ensuring that all areas of the business are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Team Leadership: To assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
- Commercial Performance: To help lead and deliver the commercial performance of the business, driving sales and revenue growth.
- Operational Excellence: To help lead and deliver the operational excellence of the club, ensuring that all areas of the business are operating to the highest standards.
- KPIs: To deliver the set KPIs, ensuring that the business is meeting its targets and objectives.
- Team Development: To help recruit, train and develop a team, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements:
- Experience: Must have experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry, ideally with a proven track record of success.
- Leadership: Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader, with the ability to motivate and engage the team.
- Qualifications: Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Business Acumen: Must have experience in driving sales and helping to coordinate local marketing activity, as well as managing a successful team.
- Operational Expertise: Ideally will have experience as an Assistant Manager, helping to oversee all business areas within a leisure facility, or have substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function.
