Company Overview: GBR Recruitment Limited is collaborating with a prominent manufacturing organization in Oxfordshire, seeking a skilled Finance Administrator to enhance their dynamic Accounts/Finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient execution of daily financial operations.


Position Summary: This opportunity is initially offered as a fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension or permanent placement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive double-entry bookkeeping tasks.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Reconcile supplier and customer statements.
  • Oversee payment runs, including both ad-hoc and scheduled payments.
  • Monitor cash flow and reconcile bank balances.
  • Execute monthly accounting routines, including balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset journal entries.
  • Prepare VAT and Intrastat returns.
  • Generate variance analysis reports comparing actual performance against budget targets.
  • Contribute to the development of the Monthly Management Accounts Board Pack.
  • Utilize Excel for data entry, formula application, and report generation.


Candidate Profile:

  • AAT qualified or pursuing qualification, or equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting, with a solid understanding of WIP, COGS, BOMS, and GRNI.
  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP.
  • A collaborative team player, adaptable to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
