We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver day-to-day services related to fetal medicine and the national pregnancy screening program.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide empathetic and compassionate care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to fetal medicine and pregnancy screening.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registered Midwife qualification.
  • Intravenous accreditation.
  • Prep for Mentorship course or equivalent.
  • Counselling skills.
  • Ultrasound Qualification (desirable).
  • Counselling Qualification (desirable).
  • Management Qualification (desirable).

  • Awareness of Saving babies lives care bundle 3 and the correlation to fetal medicine.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Preterm and twin pregnancies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with women who need support with infant feeding, particularly in relation to pre-term and twin pregnancies.
