Academic Skills Coach

Job Summary:
The Courtauld is seeking a Specialist Academic Skills Tutor to provide support to students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD). The successful candidate will work closely with academic colleagues and Student and Academic Services staff to ensure that the Institute implements reasonable adjustments and provides additional study aids to improve individual disabled students' access to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SpLD, helping them develop academic and study skills.
- Work with academic colleagues to develop and deliver workshops and small group sessions to support students with SpLD.
- Collaborate with the Learning Experience Manager and Student and Academic Services staff to ensure that the Institute provides a supportive learning environment for students with SpLD.
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, academic staff, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of inclusivity and support.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support students with SpLD.
Requirements:
- Professionally accredited approved SpLD teaching qualification.
- Professional body membership outlined in the DfE mandatory qualification criteria for the role of Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support - Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
