The Courtauld is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Academic Skills Tutor to join our team. As a Specialist Academic Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) to participate fully in their academic programs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of academics and support staff to provide high-quality support to students with SpLD. You will work closely with academic colleagues, Student and Academic Services (SAS) staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SpLD, helping them to develop the skills and strategies they need to succeed in their academic programs.
  • Work with academic colleagues to develop and deliver inclusive learning materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with SAS staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to access learning.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions to support students with SpLD.
  • Contribute to the development of the library's inclusive learning strategy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a professionally accredited approved SpLD teaching qualification and be a member of the professional body outlined in the DfE mandatory qualification criteria for the role of Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support - Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
