A Typical Day in the Life of a Security Skills Coach:

  • Deliver mainly one-to-one (occasionally group) training and assessment for apprentices in the security sector, including online delivery and on-site training.
  • Visit apprentices at their workplace every 4 weeks to assess progress and provide on-site coaching.
  • Deliver English and Maths functional skills to apprentices needing upskilling.
  • Provide feedback and support to ensure apprentices meet their academic and practical goals.
  • Plan your schedule around your apprentices' needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' operational security supervision/management experience.
  • Minimum Level 3 Trainer Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Functional skills level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel across the UK to meet apprentices on-site.

Additional Personal Qualities:

Job Type: Full-time

Supervising and Managing Security Officers: 3 years (required)

SIA Licence: preferred

Level 3 Teacher Training Certificate: issued in the UK (required)
