Financial Management Specialist

Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Management Specialist will possess strong accounting skills and be actively involved in financial projects while demonstrating a keen understanding of commercial dynamics.
Responsible for delivering accurate and timely monthly financial reports. Ensure that financial reporting processes adhere to group standards and timelines. Collaborate with the Finance Controller to equip the Senior Leadership Team with essential data for monitoring financial objectives and interpreting business performance to identify potential challenges or opportunities for enhancing profitability. Oversee financial interactions with relevant stakeholders, including invoice management and cost tracking. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for assigned areas. Assist in formulating the financial strategy and provide analytical support on all business activities, objectives, and drivers. Perform budget analyses regularly to identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and review quarterly forecasts in collaboration with department leaders. Support the audit process and engage with external auditors. Foster effective business partnerships through the management of capital expenditures and assess both short and long-term returns on investments. Prepare service charge accounts to ensure compliance with legal standards. Aid in the preparation of year-end financial statements. Contribute to the overall financial strategy of the organization. Conduct financial analysis and reporting as required. Perform additional financial tasks as directed by management. Undertake any reasonable duties assigned by the line manager or senior team.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Must be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - Essential.
Relevant Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of qualified financial experience is required. Experience in a similar industry or venue is preferred. Familiarity with Netsuite finance software is a plus. Proficiency in finance software is essential.Skills and Competencies:
Ability to work independently and take initiative. A proactive approach with a focus on operational finance. Strong people management capabilities. Skills in change management. Confidence to challenge the status quo. Advanced Excel skills are required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and commercial skills. Experience working at an executive level is advantageous. Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information is essential.Additional Information
