Roles and Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW
The Financial Management Specialist will possess strong accounting expertise and be actively involved in financial projects while demonstrating commercial acumen.
Responsible for delivering timely and precise monthly financial reports. Ensure that accurate and prompt financial reporting procedures are established in accordance with corporate standards. Assist the Financial Controller in providing the Senior Leadership Team with necessary insights to monitor financial objectives and accurately interpret business outcomes to identify potential challenges or opportunities for enhancing operational profitability. Manage financial interactions with relevant stakeholders, including invoice processing and cost tracking. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for assigned areas. Aid in the development of financial strategies and offer analytical support for all activities, objectives, and business drivers. Perform budget analyses regularly to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with department heads to review and prepare quarterly forecasts. Support the audit process and engage with external auditors. Foster effective business partnerships through the preparation and monitoring of capital expenditures and evaluate both short and long-term returns on investment. Prepare service charge accounts to ensure compliance with legal standards. Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements. Contribute to the overarching financial strategy of the organization. Engage in financial analysis and reporting activities. Execute any additional financial tasks as required to support the broader department and organization. Undertake any reasonable duties as requested by the line manager or senior leadership.Qualifications
Relevant Qualifications-
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - Required.
Relevant experience-
A minimum of 1 year of qualified financial experience is essential. Experience in a similar industry or venue is preferred. Familiarity with Netsuite finance software is advantageous. Proficiency in financial software is essential.Aptitude, skills and abilities:-
Ability to work independently and take initiative. A proactive approach with a focus on operational finance. Strong people management capabilities. Skills in change management. Confidence to challenge existing processes. Advanced Excel skills are required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and commercial skills. Experience working at an executive level is beneficial.
