Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver insightful financial partnership support to a designated division, enhancing understanding of business performance metrics.
  • Assist Central Overhead Functions with comprehensive business partner support.
  • Facilitate effective financial planning and analytical processes within the team.
  • Provide expert guidance on accounting and financial control methodologies.
  • Lead financial scenario modeling for various projects, offering strategic recommendations based on thorough financial assessments.
  • Oversee UK-wide forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, establishing financial goals and objectives for specific sub-divisions.
  • Conduct in-depth business performance evaluations to pinpoint, analyze, and comprehend operational results (e.g., margins, costs, profitability by client) while suggesting avenues for improvement.
  • Drive the ongoing enhancement and delivery of Business Intelligence reporting pertinent to sub-divisions.
  • Champion process enhancements in working capital management.
  • Ensure the precision of period-end financial closings by lending business expertise to the financial control team and reviewing final outputs.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Business Partner with relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing accounting, variance analysis, plant operations, and managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to delve into financial data to discern key business drivers.
  • Proven track record in identifying business cases for new opportunities and preparing planning models or implementation strategies in collaboration with senior management.
  • Experience with financial dashboards and analytical tools, including Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Capability to act as a liaison between finance and operational teams.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
