Harwoods Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 3 Technician to join our team of automotive experts.

As a Level 3 Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop by diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles to the highest standards.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to accurately diagnose and rectify vehicle faults. Engage with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations regarding repairs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the latest automotive technologies and repair procedures for the vehicles we service.
  • Perform diagnoses, repairs, and servicing tasks adhering to strict quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Prioritize safety in all work activities, ensuring both your well-being and the safety of others.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors when encountering complex issues or seeking guidance beyond your assigned tasks.
  • Verify the quality of completed work through diagnostic equipment checks and thorough road testing. Communicate effectively with Service Advisors to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Meticulously complete all relevant service documentation, including job sheets, PDI reports, and service records, adhering to brand standards, warranty requirements, and site protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and utilize video recording tools (or equivalent) to document findings efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict workshop housekeeping standards and proper tool management practices.
Skills & Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ accreditation in automotive technology.
  • Proficiency in numeracy, literacy, and basic computer skills.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • A professional and presentable appearance.
  • Current MOT Licence

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with specific vehicle manufacturers and their repair procedures.
