The role of the Materials Planning Specialist involves ensuring the availability of materials to satisfy the operational needs of all bread production facilities. This is achieved through efficient ordering and inventory management practices, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and logistics providers, to maintain optimal service levels in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and sustain internal relationships across different departments and locations, including Commercial, Process Team, Technical, and storage areas.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing customer service and developing both short-term and long-term control systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of data within ERP and MRP systems utilized for material scheduling.
  • Utilize departmental KPIs daily to assess appropriate resource stock levels, aiming to minimize waste and manage special vehicle requirements and redundant stock write-offs.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Prior experience in a comparable position within a dynamic FMCG or food production environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for innovative solutions.
  • Numerical competence, including cost analysis, calculations, and performance metrics.
