About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a passion for technology consulting and a deep understanding of the insurance industry to head our Technology Consulting function across the UK & Ireland. This pivotal role requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and a focus on adding business value through strategic client engagement and the delivery of complex technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead the Technology Consulting Team across the UK&I region, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
    • Monitor and manage performance metrics such as delivery profitability and client satisfaction, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Align resources and efforts to meet the ICT business's strategic requirements, driving growth and efficiency.
    • Nurture and develop talent to support ICT's strategic business plans, promoting career development and succession planning.
  • Sales Enablement:
    • Lead the technology aspects of complex sales opportunities of both software and professional services, leveraging your expertise to drive revenue growth.
    • Define and propose the right solutions for clients, demonstrating your creativity and problem-solving abilities to meet their business needs.
    • Engage strategically with clients, building personal credibility and trust to drive long-term relationships and business growth.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Direct senior client relationships with a strong customer focus, managing retention and broadening our software and services footprint to drive business expansion.
    • Oversee the delivery of complex engagements, ensuring quality and professional excellence, and consistently adding business value to our clients.
    • Understand and manage solution and delivery risk, ensuring timely and successful project outcomes.
  • Thought Leadership & External Representation:
    • Represent Technology Consulting in the UK&I Life and P&C insurance market, promoting our expertise and thought leadership.
    • Participate in marketing and thought leadership activities, showcasing your experience and knowledge and the overall credibility of WTW.
  • Strategic Development & Integration:
    • Provide thought leadership on shaping and building the consulting function, driving innovation and growth.
    • Develop innovative technology consulting propositions, aligning with the ICT business's strategic objectives.
    • Integrate technology consulting with the broader ICT business, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
    • Act as a point of escalation for issues internally and with clients, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in global technology consulting or a professional services organization, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse technology consulting teams, driving high-performing teams and delivering results.
  • Experience managing complex delivery projects and senior client relationships, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to transition between strategic and detailed operational levels, with a strong understanding of business operations and technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of technology and business.
  • Ability to travel as required, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in Commercial Lines P&C Insurance, with a deep understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • Experience at an Insurance carrier, with a strong understanding of the business and its operations.
  • Prior responsibility for P&L in the consulting space, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and profitability.
