We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Manager to join our team at Michael Page Legal. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the governance function, ensuring the efficient functioning of the C-Suite department, and providing comprehensive support to the Board of Trustees and the Strategic Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic support to the Board of Trustees and the Strategic Leadership Team, ensuring effective decision-making and risk management.
  • Manage governance meetings, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-ups.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes within the not-for-profit sector and ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate risk management processes and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process of the organization.
  • Support the C-Suite department in their operational and strategic objectives.
  • Promote a culture of good governance within the organization.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a governance role, ideally within a not-for-profit organization.
  • Working knowledge of Charity Commissions guidelines and the Charities Act.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
