Job Title: Governance Manager

About the Role:

The successful Governance Manager will support and advise the Wealth Management firm's boards and investment committees, confidently minuting meetings and assisting with pack preparation. They will oversee the Wealth Management firm's Governance arrangements across the group, including data protection governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the launch and delivery of governance initiatives and projects across the Wealth Management business.
  • Lead the co-ordination of board committee meetings and the annual board and committee effectiveness reviews for the business.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the data protection governance framework and maintain the ROPA, dealing with data breaches and data subject access requests.
  • Assist in statutory filings and review and oversight of legal agreements.

Requirements:

  • CGI qualified or equivalent qualification (Chartered Governance Institute)
  • 3-5 years relevant Governance experience in Financial Services (ideally wealth management and investment management)
  • Ability to develop technical proficiency to fulfill the role
  • Proficient in Microsoft products
  • Experience in the financial services sector, good understanding of company law and FCA governance expectations
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail and Excellent written skills
