The Opportunity

This role is for a paralegal to work as an integral member of our London-based arbitration group, offering support to our partners and fee-earners and to our Arbitration practice manager/Professional Support Consultant/PSL (PSLs) within the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support fee earners in the team with legal research and other substantive tasks on client matters, including preparing materials for hearings and organizing the administrative and logistical aspects of hearings.
  • Support the Practice Managers/PSLs in knowledge, practice management, business development, and external-facing profile work, including drafting blogs, helping with the production of client-facing materials, managing and organizing practice and pricing data, and maintaining and populating blogs.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Knowledge of commercial and investment treaty arbitration and public international law.
  • Law degree or undergraduate degree (ideally 2:1 or first).
  • Completion of LPC/BVC and office administration or paralegal experience ideal, but not required.
  • Interest/experience in business development and practice management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and interest in the use of data to drive change and to win business.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Excellent client service skills and commercial awareness.
