Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food and Beverage Placement student at Exclusive Hotels and Venues. This exciting opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, working in various departments including Bar, Lounge, and Terrace, Fork Restaurant, and Conference and Banqueting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bar service, including hot and cold beverages, and basic food from the bar menu
  • Develop high levels of product knowledge in the bar and exceptional service standards through the afternoon tea experience
  • Work in Fork Restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all-day dining options
  • Learn how to prepare the restaurant for services, understand the sequence of service, and serve guests to our standards
  • Develop high levels of menu knowledge in both food and wine
  • Gain experience in Conference and Banqueting, including setting up and preparing for events, and working them
  • Assist with food and beverage service for banquets, including plated service, snake service, champagne and canapé receptions
  • Set up and operate coffee stations, break-out food, and buffets, and assist with audio-visual equipment

Additional Opportunities

  • Attend a Head of Department meeting, where you will sit with the managers of the Resort and be involved in business discussions and decisions
  • Cross-train in the specialisms of Accounts, Human Resources, and Sales, should you be interested

Requirements

We are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn. You should have a strong work ethic and be able to work well under pressure. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential.
