Key Responsibilities:- Work alongside other team members to provide support and advice to foster carers, demonstrating initiative while being part of a team.
- Ensure the welfare of children and young people remains paramount in all aspects of the service.
- Represent the voice of children and young people, as well as foster carers and adopters, through participation and consultation activities.
- Deliver training to foster carers and adopters on relevant standards, providing feedback to update training materials.
- Be flexible to respond to the needs of young people, carers, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in fostering assessments or similar.
- Have a good understanding of legislation and national standards.
- Hold a relevant social work qualification, such as DipSW, CSS, or CQSW.
- Be registered with the SSSC.
- Demonstrate knowledge of child protection procedures.
- Have previous post-qualifying experience in childcare settings or pre-qualifying work experience in family placement.
- Hold a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
