About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our haematology department, you will provide expert clinical care to patients with blood disorders, including haematological malignancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full clinical care to inpatients and outpatients with blood disorders
  • Offer specialist advice on all aspects of haematology to colleagues within the trust and primary care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely test results
Person Specification
  • Experience of audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software
  • Broad training in all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology
  • FRCPath (Haematology) or equivalent and M/FRCP or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice and an accredited specialist in Haematology
