Consultant Haematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide full clinical care of patients with blood disorders, including haematological malignancy, and specialist advice on all aspects of haematology to colleagues within the Trust and Primary Care.
Main Duties- Provide clinical support for the laboratories at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital.
- Be based at FGH, providing on-call cover for all hospitals.
- Contribute to the development of an integrated pattern of working across the three main sites.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of audit and computer literacy.
- Broad training in all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology.
- FRCPath (Haematology) or equivalent and M/FRCP or equivalent qualifications.
- Registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice and an accredited specialist in Haematology.
