About the Role

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team is partnering with a UK-wide SEN Trust to hire an experienced SEN Teacher to join their campus in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASC) and specific learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver the curriculum as prescribed by our schemes of work, adapting it to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  2. Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, relevant, and well-structured to cater to a wide range of abilities and communication needs.
  3. Collaborate with the Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision, ethos, and objectives.
  4. Embed the school's ethos and educational vision, promoting effective teaching and support, and fostering a culture of achievement and well-being among students.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and support, setting targets for improvement and implementing strategies to address under-performance.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher status
  2. Desirable: Science and/or secondary teaching experience, thorough knowledge of the curriculum, and experience working with young people with ASD.
  3. Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  4. Ability to build nurturing relationships with students.
