Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Team Lead to join our team at Bright Horizons Bunnybrookes Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Early Years professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe working environment.
  • Promote the nursery to current and potential customers to support retention and occupancy growth.
  • Ensure commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure inline with FTEs and budget KPIs.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator.
  • Confident decision maker with experience providing support and leadership to others.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
