Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide outstanding care and education to all children
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead when necessary, overseeing daily nursery operations and safeguarding policies
- Foster strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child's needs
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, safe, and enjoyable work environment
- Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents to support retention and growth
- Ensure the nursery's financial success by managing expenditures in line with budgetary KPIs
- Engage with local authorities to understand community offerings and enhance nursery practices
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience in an Early Years setting, ideally in a leadership role such as Third in Charge or Room Leader
- Confident decision-maker with experience in supporting and guiding team members
- Strong understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and relevant legislative requirements
- Ability to build trust and effective working relationships with colleagues and parents
- Proficient in various communication techniques suitable for both children and adults
