Job Title: Director Strategy and Business Planning

Iron Mountain's Warehousing and Logistics business unit provides comprehensive storage, distribution, and supply chain management solutions.

We specialise in secure pallet storage, inventory management, and transportation, offering scalable 3PL services that help businesses improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance.

Our focus is on driving process improvements, enhancing operational efficiencies, and delivering financial responsibility, supporting a wide range of industries by optimising logistics, managing palletised goods, and meeting complex customer demands across the supply chain.

Based at Magna Park, Lutterworth, with occasional travel across Warehouse + Logistics (W+L) sites in the UK, you will lead a small team of an Inventory Manager / Supervisor and Stock Controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide key information on all inventory related issues - develop and manage reports for internal and external use
  • Act as the key link between operations and the wider IT community for WMS and other systems
  • Provide analytical support to operations for labour planning, headcount, productivity
  • Support operational decision-making by providing insight and analysis
  • Lead on development of systems to support items inclusive of user experience
  • Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first class operational delivery, with a focus on stock integrity and planning accuracy
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all stock related performance issues
  • Enable audit governance to ensure adherence to specific regulatory body standards and client standards as required from time to time
  • Create detailed and trend analysis that identify route cause and resolution through Root Cause and Corrective Action principles

Design and implement action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy and quality of service to meet customer requirements and with the ability to upscale and adapt to increased customer demand.

Develops and delivers the inventory strategy, and the standardisation and implementation of robust processes. Responsible for ensuring all inventory policies and practices are adhered to and adopted throughout the W+L business.

Oversees customer stock takes and audits. Proactively seeks opportunities for business improvements within contracts.

Ability to travel to other sites in the W+L network and provide support as required.

Proactively leads the Inventory Management team to achieve planned targets and deadlines, objectively measuring performance providing regular reviews, feedback and coaching within a successful 'can do' culture.

Actively manages the teams' success and development through appraisals and performance reviews, coaching and developing, leading a high performing team and creating succession plans.

Strong data analysis skills - and the ability to quickly assess raw data and create reports.
