About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Female Support Worker to join our team and support a young lady with a learning disability and autism to live independently in her own home. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional reassurance, supporting with daily living tasks, and engaging in activities that promote her well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lady to live her life as she chooses and achieve her goals
- Engage in intensive interaction, such as mirroring actions and body language, to promote communication and understanding
- Support with personal care, medication, food shopping, and domestic tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- Encourage the lady to participate in activities she enjoys, such as going for walks, feeding the ducks, and spending time with her family
Shift Patterns:
The successful candidate will be required to work a combination of day and night shifts, including weekends, to provide 24-hour support to the lady. Rotas will be provided at least 4 weeks in advance to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
