Female Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Support Worker to join our team and support a young lady with a learning disability and autism to live independently in her own home.
About the Person We Support:
Our service user is an outgoing and active individual who enjoys going out on walks, feeding the ducks, and spending time with her family. She also loves music, sensory play, and pub lunches.
Your Role:
- You will support our service user to live her life as she chooses and achieve her goals.
- You will engage in intensive interaction, such as mirroring her actions and body language, to support her communication and social skills.
- You will support her with personal care, medication, food shopping, and domestic tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- You will also support her to get involved in activities she enjoys, such as going out in her car and participating in sensory play.
Shift Patterns:
We are offering a range of shift patterns, including day shifts, waking night shifts, and a combination of weekdays and weekends. Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements:
- Experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Ability to provide emotional reassurance and support during times of distress.
- Full positive behaviour support training is provided, but previous experience is essential.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role.
