Job Summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and innovative Band 6 Charge Nurse to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. We are seeking a motivated individual to take a lead role in the development and delivery of clinical care within our Inpatient Team.

Main Responsibilities

As a Band 6 Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, and interventions for patients.
  • Leading and managing a small team of nurses, ensuring best practice and safe care.
  • Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in an acute mental health setting as a Band 5 nurse.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate care, and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Good understanding of mental health legislation and policies.
