Job Title: Global Oil and Gas Process Engineer

This role requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where the company engages in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas. The company has a multifaceted approach, including upstream, downstream, and corporate services.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Downstream Chemical Engineer with experience in chemicals mainly in olefins, aromatics, and synthetic rubber manufacturing to join our Affiliates Manufacturing Excellence Department (AMED). AMED is a multifunctional business unit responsible for overseeing the operational performance of Affiliates, managing HSSE, and driving manufacturing excellence across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise in conducting benchmarking and analyzing the performance of Global Manufacturing chemicals assets.
  • Support in closing the performance gaps identified in the benchmarking process.
  • Administer Solomon benchmarking studies for Global Manufacturing facilities.
  • Collect, verify, and review data quality during benchmarking in Global Manufacturing Affiliates facilities.
  • Document findings and recommendations for presentation to Global Manufacturing management and affiliates.
  • Lead the planning and execution of solutions to address identified performance gaps.
  • Create expense/margin optimization plans for Global Manufacturing Affiliates facilities.
  • Coordinate with affiliates to establish performance targets and track progress using Solomon metrics.
  • Develop regular benchmarking reports with Solomon metrics for all Global Manufacturing affiliates facilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in refinery and/or chemical process units, with at least 5 years specializing in Solomon benchmarking and metric analysis.
  • Essential working knowledge of refinery and chemical industry process plant characteristics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools is essential.
