About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Specialist to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a key member of our team, you will work with schools, Local Authorities, and Virtual Schooling Teams in Cramlington and across Northumberland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with experience working with young people who struggle with their mental health. You will be responsible for providing high-quality tutoring services, working independently and as part of a team, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tutoring services to students in a variety of settings, including schools and online
  • Work with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
  • Develop and implement effective tutoring plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for students
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with SEMH and SEN students
  • Patient, empathetic, and creative approach to tutoring
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or ability to complete one
  • Minimum of two references covering the last two years of employment
