Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Energy Transition team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the energy sector.

About the Role

In this role, you will leverage your expertise to tackle complex challenges and develop innovative solutions that drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and progress. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams across a range of energy projects, including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project lifecycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, mentoring and inspiring junior engineers.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge solutions that optimize energy use and minimize environmental impact.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be qualified with a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution and professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE is preferred.

You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and experience of the energy industry, engaged in the engineering community, and understand how to drive success for our clients, including understanding innovative solutions and industry best practices.
