Job Summary:

Leaders in Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Residential Care Manager to lead our first Family Assessment home in Liverpool, Merseyside. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and registering our new home, ensuring the highest standards of care and service are maintained, and promoting a child-centred approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a team of residential family support workers, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the well-being of residents
  • Achieve and maintain a minimum Ofsted rating of GOOD, with strategies to reach OUTSTANDING
  • Promote and ensure adherence to the company's vision, values, policies, and ethos
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to manage risks and spearhead improvements
  • Build productive relationships with Local Authority staff, social workers, and other statutory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with data capture requirements and management information systems
  • Uphold the highest standards of care and service within the legislative framework
  • Prioritise the safety of residents and staff, ensuring safeguarding practices meet regulatory requirements
  • Generate high-quality observation reports and participate in court proceedings as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Family Assessment Manager, Residential Care Manager, Childcare Manager, Social Care Manager, or Family Support Manager
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the legislative framework and regulatory requirements for children's residential care
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and services
