Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in leading our team and providing expert advice and guidance on risk, safeguarding, and complex needs. You will also provide professional oversight of our Designated Safeguarding Leads and ensure that our team is working effectively to achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on risk, safeguarding, and complex needs, ensuring that our team is equipped to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the lives of our service users, working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide professional oversight of our Designated Safeguarding Leads, ensuring that our team is working effectively to safeguard our service users.
  • Work closely with our leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support our mission and values.

About You

  • You will have a valid qualification in social work and be registered with the relevant regulatory body.
  • You will have experience of leadership, motivating, and inspiring individuals and teams.
  • You will be confident in complex decision-making related to service user issues, using defensible decision-making skills and clear communication.
  • You will have strategic decision-making and influencing skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • You will have experience and knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, with the ability to lead and implement effective safeguarding strategies.
  • You will have excellent team-working, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work flexibly across operational sites.
