Lead Repairs, Maintenance, and Investment Works

Hundred Houses Society is seeking a skilled professional to lead all repairs, maintenance, and investment works. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing contracts and contractor relationships, providing strong leadership to the Repairs & Maintenance team, and working closely with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement change management activities to deliver business improvements
  • Ensure sustained performance across all repairs, maintenance, and investment functions
  • Promote a customer and performance-focused culture
  • Accountable for setting and delivering budgets relevant to repairs, maintenance, and investment works
  • Ensure all assets and resources are used efficiently and effectively
  • Foster value for money in key relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Encourage cross-functional working between teams
  • Responsible for property and customer health and safety
Core Focus Areas:
  • Empty Properties: Maintain and re-let vacant homes within target time and standard
  • Investment Programmes: Lead investment programmes, including major component renewals and maintenance schemes
  • Contract Management: Lead contract management responsibilities for repairs, maintenance, and investment works
  • Customer Services: Deliver repairs, maintenance, and investment services in line with customer service standards
Requirements:
  • Property degree or equivalent qualification
  • Technical knowledge of property surveying and building construction
  • Experience in contract management and construction
  • Health and Safety Awareness and knowledge of property-related legislation
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems
  • Highly developed customer care and interpersonal skills
