About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our AWS Utility Computing (UC) team. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, system developers, technical product managers, and software developers to coordinate the launch of different services into special regions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and high-risk areas, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Manage the build and deployment of new tooling to streamline and automate security, testing, and region launch related initiatives.
  • Support process improvement projects in coordination with service teams, and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams, and a strong understanding of cloud computing technologies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design, and developing and executing product and technical roadmaps.
  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules, and owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams, and a strong understanding of system design principles.
  • Experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules, and defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
