We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an Independent Specialist School. As a key member of our KS3 department, you will provide essential support to students with complex needs, including physical disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and social-emotional challenges.

About the Role

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary, a £1000 welcome bonus, and the opportunity to obtain a NVQ level 3. You will work in a vibrant, child-centered environment that is highly regarded locally and beyond. Our school is dedicated to supporting each pupil through a creative and expansive curriculum, and we offer extra-curricular activities such as forest school, bushcraft, and horse riding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide whole-class, 1:1, and small group support to students with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities, including sensory programs and therapy sessions
  • Support students with physical disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and social-emotional challenges
Requirements
  • Experience working or volunteering with children or young adults
  • GCSE in Maths and English, equivalent or willing to obtain immediately
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
