Job Summary:

PRS LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to lead our HVAP Data Centre team in Docklands. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre, managing resources, and driving a high-performance work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage and control manpower and resources/materials on a day-to-day basis to ensure all planned and reactive work is undertaken in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • Performance Management: Motivate, engage, and drive a high-performance work environment by setting objectives and regularly reviewing performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager to ensure services are delivered in accordance with best practice processes and procedures.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Manage specialist sub-contractors on site, ensuring they comply with data centre rules and regulations, and perform to the requirement of the contract.
  • Administrative Tasks: Administer sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
  • Procedure Development: Ensure continuous development of the sites Emergency Operations Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Training and Development: Conduct site toolbox talks with your respective shift team and ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed, and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Escalation: Be the first level of escalation for technical and non-technical issues for the shift engineering team.
  • Support: Support the shift engineering teams to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Data Centres.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and maintain equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Data Centres.

Requirements:

  • 17th or 18th Edition certified (or comparable) electrical qualification, ideally electrical test & inspection.
  • HND or similar in relevant area (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services).
  • L8 Legionella Management.
  • Experience in facilities, operations, or engineering; in a Data Centre critical environment.
