Schreiber Foods is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across our operations.
As the EHS Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of all individuals who interact with Schreiber Foods, including employees, partners, customers, visitors, and contractors. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities aimed at creating a secure and sustainable work environment.
- Implement and Oversee EHS Programs: Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive environmental health and safety programs aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Education: Design and deliver engaging training programs to educate employees on safety protocols, hazard identification, risk mitigation strategies, and environmental stewardship.
- Inspection and Audit Management: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with established standards. Manage internal audits to assess the effectiveness of EHS programs.
- Compliance and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to EHS activities. Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare reports on safety performance, environmental impact, and incident investigations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including management, employees, and departments across the organization. Effectively communicate EHS policies, procedures, and updates to all relevant parties.
The Ideal Candidate:
We seek a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for safety and environmental protection. The successful candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or Environmental Science.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing and managing EHS programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and relevant software tools.
