Are you an experienced professional looking for a new challenge in the field of Environmental Health and Safety? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at The Recruitment Co.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead the development, maintenance, and improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs and policies.
- Oversee the tracking and meeting of deadlines for all Safety and Environmental Programs.
- Administer Safety and Environmental training across the plant, working with all permanent and temporary staff.
- Have a thorough understanding of Safety and Environmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Collaborate with partners and leaders to identify root causes of incidents and develop strategies for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Safety and Environmental training and certifications.
- Conduct safety observations and training for leaders to continuously improve.
- Accountable for the plant safety budget annually.
- Work with HO Safety and plant HR to resolve worker and compensation cases.
- Participate in initiatives and projects outside of plant responsibility when required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Licence or Certification in Occupational Safety, Health, or Environmental fields with relevant experience.
- Experience in creating safety programs and training programs.
- Knowledge of completing audits to identify regulatory improvement opportunities.
- Ability to generate reports across audit findings.
- Highly motivated and desired individual looking for the next step in their career.
