Job Title: Live-In Care Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Care Assistant to join our team at Home Instead Gloucester and The Forest of Dean. As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and live life to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide live-in care in clients' homes, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication management.
  • Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Support clients to engage in activities they enjoy, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Assist with shopping and deliveries, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration, as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to treat clients and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and make common sense decisions at short notice.
  • Willingness to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
