Job Title: Family Nurse

NHS Fife is seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Nurse to join our team. As a Family Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to families with young children.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) team, delivering an intensive, early intervention home visiting service to eligible first-time mothers aged 20 years and under. You will work closely with families from early pregnancy until the child turns 2 years old, providing support and guidance to promote healthy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to families with young children
  • Deliver the FNP programme, including home visiting and Named Person responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, building trust and confidence
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve child health outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current NMC registration as a first-level registered nurse or midwife
  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive practice experience in managing a caseload, home visiting, and community work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to improve outcomes for children and young people
